Both ImageReady and Fireworks will open animated gif with individual frames
for editing. Fireworks has more built-in effects so I am beginning to
gravitate more to it for Web graphics work. Plus it's slicing tool for
converting images into tables is very nice. They've just released 2.0 with
many improvements.
