Agree. Some people from the committee may be interested in participating
in the Website CG proposal process and then if that CG is approved they
may be interested in participating in the new CG. They are already
exploring website issues and volunteered to participate in an editorial
function so we should leverage that and build on that.

If you are referring to the OGB's approval of the OGB-modified version
of Alan's proposal, yes, I agree, we should disband it (though it's
never been set up so dis-banding is just a formality). We should start
from Alan's updated proposal issued on Nov 29th. I added a link from
your OGB_2008/008 document to Alan's updated proposal, and I also posted
a new page to start editing from that revised proposal:

Original proposal, on the 27th:
http://mail.opensolaris.org/pipermail/ogb-discuss/2007-November/003495.html

Updated proposal on the 29th:
http://mail.opensolaris.org/pipermail/ogb-discuss/2007-November/003542.html

I suggest we start from the updated version.

I'm fine with those changes.

I think the background is good, but we should focus our discussion on a
new proposal more than the sequence of past events.

I agree a new Website CG proposal should make reference to the need for
a editorial policy -- and that that CG would write such a policy -- but
we shouldn't get too detailed discussing the specifics here since that
will delay the implemention of the CG itself. In other words, get the CG
properly scoped, voted, approved, and opened, and then let the properly
skilled people gather around and write an editorial policy for
opensolairs.org.

I think we ought to re-evaluate Alan's original list of founding
members. Some may not be interested at this point and others may be.
Also, Derek Cicero and Michelle Olson should be added to the founding
members list since both hold key positions with respect to both content
and operations around opensolaris.org.
