What's so wrong with how he proposed??? I think that is lovely. And meaningful to him....did he share the importance of the spot?

Yes you are marrying a person but some people don't see that. Some girls grow up planning their weddings.... They just need to fit the man into the picture.

If I could do it all again I would be surrounded by friends and we would do it completely kitch... We actually had plans to renew our vows this year in Vegas with our extended family and our daughters as the flower girls but after Cassie passed I just couldn't do it. But the annivesary party was nice and I finally got "cake" photos.

Okay got to run to XM studios with Lesley for a kid's concert.... Take care

He proposed at a waterfall at a camp where he used to work ages ago; apparently he decided way back then, that if he ever got married, he was going to propose at that spot.  So it meant something to him, and it was a place he wanted to share with her.

I just don't get it.  You're not marrying the proposal, or the ring, or the dress..you're marrying a person.

You know, I didn't used to feel this strongly about weddings.  I think it's Gene's influence.  I'm really coming around to his point of view on this.

But, Daria..I love that he got the whole restaurant involved!  You seem to have a buoyant outlook on life that a lot of other people in your position might not have.
