Ohhh it is sooooo not good when the family sees the warning signs and your brother doesn't.
In a way I can see the me-me-me it's all about me thing... this is the one day in her life that a woman gets to be a princess. For so many girls they played "getting married" as a kid. They look forward to this day their whole life. Some people are just like that.
**Hangs her head in shame....** And now I must share my horrible proposal story (I reacted horribly). My husband sat me down on the couch in our apartment and sat next to me.. offered me his grandmother's engagement ring and asked me to marry him. I said yes. Then I sat on the couch and moped. I mean this is going to be my 1 proposal and i didn't expect it to be so... we boring. He asked me what was wrong and I explained so he took the ring back. That night we went out for a lovely dinner. He had distributed flowers to everyone there and asked them to help propose to me. He took me up on stage and they all brought me flowers and he asked again. I said yes and was happy. This should have been a huge sign for him.... no matter what he does it is never good enough. He shouldn't have married me.... but it will be 10 years tomorrow (15 years together).
BTW he forgot to get grandma's ring examined before giving it to me and the diamond fell out the next day....

Can you tell I don't entirely like the girl he's marrying? She's already becoming one of those me-me-me-it's all-about-me brides. And, making a lot of decisions without my brother (he was out of the country last week when a lot of things got decided)Which to me, is a Big Red Flag, but I guess it works for them. I am probably just being a protective big sister...I just wish she'd stop sending me eight wedding e-mails a day (what do you think of these dresses? Should we have champagne colored shoes or silver?)I just wonder what she loves more: my brother, or wedding planning.(and this doesn't even get in to how she wasn't happy with the way he proposed - it wasn't story-worthy, and wasn't at all what she told him she wanted in a proposal, even though she wanted to be surprised)I know. I need to get a life..![]()
