But then we should at least prepare a player for this by clearly stating this
in the tutorial and possibly a tip of the day, too. Maybe even add some "hey,
you retried this scenario X times in this difficulty level, maybe you should
start over from an earlier point in the campaign" messages.

Personally I see the problem that users might get frustrated eventually until
they realize that "just winning somehow" ain't always enough and that they
should completely start over (yeah, though IMO this sucks extremely!).
