After the software has already been installed? or only during installation when it prompts for the key? I had already installed the software before I knew how to obtain the Product License Key, and now I can't find where to enter it.

You can enter the license key directly into the Evaluation to activate it into the full purchased version.

Are you an active WhatsUp Gold service agreement holder?  If so, you should have received a notice that stated:
