since my smtp doesn't block access outside the network, i use my own but
AFAIK, the pc card doesn't block access to smtp.
i connect to an exchange server and use RPC over HTTP so it doesn't actually
use port 25 to reach the mail server. I don't recall if i sent replies using
another account that's a hosting account that uses port 25 for smtp and
authentication. That would be the only one affected but i mostly only read,
not reply to, messages i get on that account and and replies can wait till i
get a connection that works.
