As I recall at one time Comcast was going to try and charge for additional
terminals but that went by the wayside with the routers. Thank God as they
are way overcharging as it is!
The Comcast self install is simple as they just have a small program that
installs from the included CD....comes with the intro pak and manual. If you
have trouble with the install just call tech support and they will walk you
through it anyway. I don't know if Verizon does this but they all seem to be
very similar in their actions, charges, etc.

What does that actually mean? Aren't all the PCs behind a
firewall, and doesn't each have a unique IP address that is not
ordinarily visible on the Net?
All your PC's will have the same IP on the Internet side of the
Router. On the LAN they will be unique, and you can change them if
you want to.
