Hi Guys,
First off ! Thanks to all for the help and support given !
I have discussed the issue with the client / owner of the machines and
concluded that having ASUS replace the mainboard would be the correct
course of action.............. However since just swapping CPU's
results in two fully functional machines, a quick mainboard swap
allows them both to be returned to the users, non the wiser.
Maybe not quite ethical, perhaps, but done with the full consent of the
client. And I got a sale for a new 64 bit machine out of it as
well !........... Woo Hoo.
PS. I did say that I would monitor that particular machine more closely
in case any further problem occurred !!
