I have to admit, if 3.0 really has a virtual ethernet card, I'll buy 
it.  The *only* thing I use vmware for right now is telecommuting.  The IT 
people use Checkpoint FW-1 firewall/VPN, and insist we use SecureRemote 
(windows client).  It works by shim'ing itself in between the tcp/ip stack 
and the ethernet driver.  Obviously that doesn't work for win4lin 1.0 or 2.0...
