[Winona Online Democracy] Let's entertain ideas regarding "off-street parking". Suppose that a residence is certified for five unrelated persons. Should the landlord then be required to provide five off-street parking spaces? Suppose a duplex is certified for ten persons and there are four off-street parking spaces available, could a landlord then rent only to six "car-less" persons? What is considered a "reasonable" distance for one to traverse from one's vehicle to one's domicile door? In regard to the areas near WSU's main campus, would a solution be for all incoming Freshman to live on the WSU main campus and not be allowed to bring vehicles? Under what circumstances would a vehicle be permitted? Of the students housed at Lourdes Hall, how many of them have vehicles? Is adquate off-street parking provided? Do the students at Lourdes use their vehicles to reach the main campus, or do they ride the bus which is provided?
Just some thought-starters. All ideas welcome. _______________________________________________ This message was posted to Winona Online Democracy All messages must be signed by the senders actual name.
