you are missing an important point Joe As FT8 is a quick exchange mode it will encourage more use, so what is 1% on current figures supplied by Ian will rise, especially on shorter period contests on 6 mtrs and 4 mtrs in the summer where there are many Hams that spend weeks , sometimes months in second homes in the Mediterranean coastal areas. Its like asking how many will be using wsjt modes before you wrote it.. IMO , I would allow for 5% of entries to have complex callsigns .
