HI Joe,
here in the UK many of the bigger contest groups that appear in many
other stations logs used to have to sign /P when operating portable and
in the VHF+ national field day which is region one coordinated they
would all be portable. Now they are not required to sign /P and also
have access to 1 x 1 short calls.
I would guess in VHF+ NFD logs there used to be up to maybe 15% /P and
other compound calls, now it will be much lower because of the above.
