I dont as I no longer enter contests, But Ian gave you figures which showed 1% , BUT as I said those figures will be much higher from central Mediterranean area. taking imperial figures before a mode is used in vengeance in a contest, is IMO not going to allow for increased activity. FT8 allows for minimal human intervention, the bandwidth allows for much lower power levels, and allow with ease the use on holiday with a very minimal setup. And in the Med area there is very enhanced tropo propagation most of the summer months, as well as Es So its not unreasonable to predict that there will be more hams on vacation participating in contest activity on VHF+ I've noticed there are more non local Hams on 6mtrs this summer in Spain, expats will have EA callsigns , but I've worked as many non Spanish stations from Spain as Spanish stations. There will also be more in July, August with school vacations , so looking at the major contest logs will be misleading as they tend to be in the Spring and Fall, Europe has free movement with over 30 different call prefixes, with the largest concentration in the northern Med area, I understand difficult to understand as there is nothing like it on the NA continent.
