Some one have tried "Start open/close" infobox?
I have tried only in SIM mode. There is some aspects and suggestions below, so
let me know if is better open a bug report (wishlist). Or, if there is already
a ticket, please indicate the number so I can add some wishes.
ASPECTS AND SUGGESTIONS
Aspect 1. It seems that when you put task start time, it have to be in GMT time
and not in local time.
Sugestion 1: This may confuse some people, so it was interesting to have a tip
like ("Start Time GMT: ___:___"), or change to use local time.
Aspect 2. There isn't a rule to in/out start.
Sugestion 2: would be interesting to choose START IN (exit) or START OUT
(entry).
Aspect 3. When the pilot exit the start radius the countdown disappear, and the
pilot don't know if he/she exit/enter the radius before or after start time.
Suggestion 3: Add some information in the infobox:
START IN (exit) - Pilot need to exit the radius to start the task
Situation 1 - Pilot inside start radius and missing time to start time -
Infobox big text blue with positive values - infobox small text: wait time!
Situation 2 - Pilot inside start radius and time already start -Infobox big
text green with negative values - Infobox small text: start opened!
Situation 3 - Pilot outside start radius and missing time to start time -
Infobox big text magenta with positive values - Infobox small text: need entry!
Situation 4 - Pilot outside start radius and time already start -Infobox big
text red and negative values - Infobox small text: need exit!
Situation 5 - Pilot exit the start radius in right time - Infobox big text
black whith negative values - Infobox small text: Elapsed Time
START OUT (entry) - Pilot need to enter the radius to start the task
Situation 1 - Pilot outside start radius and missing time to start time -
Infobox text blue with positive values - infobox small text: wait time!
Situation 2 - Pilot outside start radius and time already start - Infobox text
green with negative values - Infobox small text: start opened!
Situation 3 - Pilot inside start radius and missing time to start time -
Infobox text magenta with positive values - Infobox small text: need exit!
Situation 4 - Pilot outside start radius and time already start - Infobox text
red and negative values - Infobox small text: need entry!
Situation 5 - Pilot enter the start radius in right time - Infobox big text
black whith negative values - Infobox small text: Elapsed Time
When pilot exit/entry start radius in wrong time: bad noise and overlay map
message: Wrong Exit/Entry!
When pilot exit/entry start radius in right time: good noise and overlay map
message: Task Started!
When start time occurs and pilot: attention noise and overlay map message:
Start Opened!

Hi Hendrique, the upcoming XCSoar 6.5 will have basic support for task start
times. I haven't tried it myself yet though. There is a preview version on the
market if you want to have a look.
