Hi,

I have found that when I worked on Aida cloth especially 22 count, that one
strand is plenty for coverage. I did a pattern of an army patch for my DH on
22 count. I found 1 strand worked great, where 2 strands was just way to
bulky. But since the orginal pattern calls for 2 strands for regular x's and 3
dor 1/2 stitches, I would do it 1 strand for regular stitches and 2 for half
stitches.

2 strands will cover adequately if I do just the half xstitch? The pattern
calls for using 2 strands for all of the other xstitches. One strand should
 cover adequately shouldn't it? >>
