I hadn't really thought about stitching in that way...... My DB is an opera
singer (when he's not traveling around the world singing on cruise ships to
support his opera habit <g>.) When we were kids we were both smart (ok,
still are.....) but things came much easier for him. Now that we are adults
we have gained great respect for each other. He's finally given me credit
for the fact that I have the patience to raise 4 kids while yearly trips to
play uncle are about all he's up to.

My stitching gives me great satisfaction. I also really enjoy the fact that
my mother is my biggest fan! When people come over she will show them what
I've stitched and comment on how beautiful my work is :) I've met a lot of
people who say that they don't have the time for hobbies since they have
kids - always tell them that hobbies are more of a necessity when you have a
family. My stitching is for *me*, even though most of what I make goes to
the kids or other people. I make no apologies for this small bit of
selfishness.
