OK, I'll look into that

I used my .Mac address. In that case, ISP doesn't matter, cause ISP is only
a pipe, and .Mac is the Server, right?

Great article! Thanks, Diane! As to this quote from that page:

" The disadvantage, of course, is that you must have Internet access in
order to view your mail at all, since it is never copied to your local
computer."

Isn't there a way to set up Mail, or and Entourage to Download the emails,
so that they can be viewed off line, thus combining the best of POP and
IMAP?!

In my case, I'll be getting iPhone 4 and my present Powerbook G4 laptop will
become my secondary Mac, when I buy MacBook Pro soon!

That is GREAT NEWS!!!! So, maybe a way to set up Mail, or and Entourage to
Download the emails, so that they can be viewed off line, thus combining the
best of POP and IMAP - is this -- set up POP and IMAP Accounts to access
same User's Mail on Mobile Me. IMAP will display it identically on all my
Macs, and iPhone 4 (only shorter timer frame of message), and POP will
Automatically Download All My Messages to both MacBook Pro and PB G4
laptops! Thus Best of both worlds? Or am I misunderstanding something? Would
there be a risk to that kind of setup? Can it cause Data Loss, corruption?

I am still not sure how iPhone 4 will fit into that picture! But, obviously
it has to, cause POP and IMAP have surely evolved since OS9 Days:)! Can one
set up iPhone 4 to Download only a Month worth of email, and email older
than 2 month gets Deleted from iPhone 4 automatically? Any iPhone 4 users
out there who can educate us about that?

TIA, Arkady
