Joe, Yes, but the curvature of space is not an illusion. Scientific theories gradually converge on reality. They are not yet perfect and may never be completely so but that is NOT a reason to claim that structure itself is an illusion, that there is no structure. Science is the study of that structure and science works....
Since the universe is a rule base information structure that continually computes its own state of existence similar to software if it did not obey consistent and logically complete rules it would tear itself apart at the inconsistencies and halt at the incompletenesses and could not exist. Therefore the universe (reality) must be a consistent rule based system... Therefore it MUST have structure, and a self consistent structure to boot...
