contrast.
Cause and effect *is* a principle I trust naturally.
The bouncing ping-pong ball of karma is not a path to awakening, I think just
as you say, despite its naturalness. Go with Dogen.

"By being available."
"How would you be available?"
"By being present."
"How would you be present?"
"There is no alternative."
"What do you mean, "no alternative?"
"Alternative to what?"
