I hope that's what Mike meant.

I would also be interested in hearing about the basics of Chan practice such as 
how you introduce novices to Chan, what the teaching tools/techniques you use 
to bring the novice forward, how the teacher assesses the progress and specific 
needs of the student and where all that leads.
