Yes. The event does "clear," but the events still stay in the event pane with as error with old time stamps until you manually move them into history. When you have a lot of servers and vms, you'd want cleared events to move the trail over errors associated with those events directly into history so that they don't owerwhelm admins who log in and see a huge list of events that are not longer current and have been cleared and for which a "clear" email has been sent for. If the event is clear, we don't want to see remnants of it in the events pane. It doesn't make sense that devises that have gone off line for a few mintues, gone back up and then cleared who show in the events pane. If it's not a problem, there is no reason for these to get mixed into with actually problems that have not been cleared. It's too much to wade through. This is mostly an issue with severity error filtering, where nothing seems to go into history unless you do it manually, again were talking about is sues that have been cleared and have older time stamps. Sorry for the length, just want to make myself clear, that the function of the error events pane is not automatic interms of moving cleared events into history and for the sake of my team to focus on what's really an issue and not old cleared events that are still sitting in there, the process needs to me more streamlined. We're trying to solve that problem.
