Thank you NateBell and daviz00 for taking time to respond. daviz, I frust tried the none source modification method without success, and then tried the src mod and still have no luck in resolving me problem.
Here's what happens. "snmp agent down on device ..." event has now the correct eventClassKey "SnmpTest" so does the "snmp agent up on device ..." I can't find the original event mapping so that I could modify it's settings (either I don't know how to find, or it's not anywhere visible) so the only alternative is to add a new event mapping. Here's who I did (and it is highly possible that I did it wrong, so please bear with me) Under /Events /Status /Snmp I added a new Event Class Mapping I called it snmp_agent_up I set the Regex value to "snmp agent up on device" (no quotes) I set the event class key to "SnmpTest" (no quotes) I set the zEventAction to "Status" I set the zEventClearClasses to "SnmpTest" (no quotes) I set the zEventSeverity to "Clear" saved I now see green "snmp agent up on device ..." events in history, but they are not clearing the "snmp agent down on device ..." events (both events as indicated are of eventClassKey = SnmpTest) I appreciate your help greatly.
