Thanks snarkout for taking time to respond. Sadly this happens on multiple machines, and even "snmp agent up on device ..." events which occur rarely as opposed to "Process table up for device ..." events aren't clearing the "snmp agent down on device ..." events.
All these ofcourse have there EventClassKey empty. I have even followed the following tip http://ilovenix.com/page.php?13.0 in vein, I was really optimistic that it would help me resolve my issue. I'm quite surprised that no one else complains about this, could it be because I'm using the VMWare appliance? Ping up event clears ping down event, I tried to see the inner workings of those two to apply it to snmp down/up (process up) but I can't even find those events how are they mapped if they are not displayed? Could it be that they are all internal to zenoss? admittedly I'm quite new to this, but to date I have managed to tackle majority of the problems I have faced, I wish I could say the same for this. -------------------- m2f -------------------- Read this topic online here: http://community.zenoss.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=18307#18307 -------------------- m2f -------------------- _______________________________________________ zenoss-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.zenoss.org/mailman/listinfo/zenoss-users
