I think the original poster has valid point. You mention "properly mapped events" how does one properly map events if they can't find them? I've gone over many documents to try to figure this on my own with no luck.
I get: "snmp agent down on device ..." event which maps to /Status/Snmp class which stays in the event console forever. The following event "Process table up for device ..." which again maps to /Status/Snmp should clear the above, but it doesn't This particular goes straight to the history but never clears the previous. I looked all over the place for this event so that I could modify it to clear the class /status/snmp, all in vein. I wish there was a clear document that explained / showed an example of this so that I didn't need to bother anybody. by the way, the admin guides weren't informative enough to deduce a solution.
