So true, Ron! I have atlast found a place where all have an excellent taste for poetry and where I can seek help in improving my writing.      I hold the same views on publishing as you do. but still, publishing does help you to consolidate your writing. it is always nice to publish a set of poems u have written over a perciod of years so that u may see the progress of thought and develop themes further based upon them. often poets begin by writing in bits... for me publishing a book of poems is about putting these bits and pieces of writings together in one place... as for commercial success, it is the publisher's headache. and afterall the whole world of creative writing and publishing is nothing but a gamble. creativity also is unpredictable and so is its success in the world... what keeps it going is conviction.     Vidya.     ronnie banerjee <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

Are any of us sharing it here in this group. Again the best of birthday poems has been penned by Dylan Thomas and it was Temp's poem and reference to the October weather which reminded me of this great oeuvre as it had a bit of that tone.
