Actually i knew u would correct me. The moment i mailed the message i knew i was wrong : ) People do buy cards as per "the card copy". Generally its a cheap joke on scatology or a doggerel singing homilies. I believe the word to describe this phenomenon is "poetastering".
But the poem that u posted was not low brow ( a rather severe word ). I thought it was nice or is it that time has now come for me to get my anthologies in the Archies Store ;-)

walked into any Archies store during colege breaks? Take a look,
kids buy cards all the time, after reading the copy inside, and then
they look for people to give them to!

person setting an SOS bottle adrift when it is a piece of vanity
publishing.
