I'd like to express interest in this as well. Just last week I came across the need for this, and was disappointed to learn that it (or something similar) is not there.
Did you look at the description of 'zoneadm list -l' in the si-interfaces.pdf?
The next code drop will include that functionality, and it was added in response to a request for better observability on the crossbow-discuss list.
