I don't shave Shaggy down to the skin, you can see
from the pictures.  I meant trimmed.  He still has fur
after his trim, he's not bald he is just maybe an inch
or so of hair.  His hair is way to thick for it to
insulate him, our vet told us that we need to trim him
to keep him cool.  You can see in the pictures.  I
don't think anyone would shave their dog down to the
skin, but your advice is good in case someone does.
