The way they works is very different: the kubuntu panel as the old unity
launcher was using the mouse pointer position, now we use the Xorg
Xfixes' pointer barrier feature that probably is not supported by these
virtual machines drivers.
So I think the issue should be fixed at xorg level, more

This is actually a wanted behavior, so setting it as invalid.

I think that's something that should be fixed in firefox itself, it
should allow to define a flag to set the windows WM_CLASS or should use
the profile name as the instance name...

htorque, the fact is that in some cases we don't know the progress
value, so it's impossible to show a valid progress and unity doesn't
have any pulsing progress bar. So I guess that in these cases we can't
do so much (also if this is the case in which the nautilus progress
window doesn't show the
