John, Bennett,
Perhaps someone who still uses all the old standard aliases
could copy/paste the text of an alias file to this list for
Bennett to be able to use everything the web page promises.
When I removed all the aliases, I saved the original set in a file called
'aliases.deprecated'
Hi John,
I updated yghg to twe and committed it to CVS, because the
website is now called twingine.com (copyright issues with
yagoohoogle). I tried to inform the mailing list but
couldn't because of the ongoing issues I am having with that.
Can you please remove yghg?
OK, thanks! I
Hi all,
There's been a couple of additions posted to the list lately, and I just
committed them to CVS:

Hi Chuck,
I just got a response about the bug report that I submitted.
Here it is:
Thanks for your report. This is a known issue. I've linked
the bug to the status on our internal bug for this. You
should be notified once the bug is resolved.
Thanks for the follow-up!

Hi Daniel,
Do you have IE7 Beta 2 installed?
Have you rebooted the computer yet?
Yes and Yes.
As I understand it, IE7 beta 2 seems to have broken support for deskbands in
Windows overall, so DQSD won't work with it.
The bug has been reported to MS, so we're hoping that they will sort

James,
I checked in a Companies House search probably a year or two
ago (should be ch.xml) which has been crippled by them
including a session key that I can't work around. No amount
of moaning at the relevant people could get the addition of a
session key after a query is posted, so the
Hi John,
Mmm, nice way of thinking about it... Can we make it more likely by
reporting and/or voting for the bug? Do you know if they accept public
reports somewhere?

Hey Monty,
This version also contains a change to open a new window
directly without using an html file.
I'm no regular comx user, but I tried it out to see if it worked even in
non-admin scenarios (not sure why it wouldn't).
Anyway, it seems to work fine, at least for Calvin and Hobbes...
Hi John,
I am willing to help debug it. Any ideas where to start with
it? I am behind in reading for my class, so I may be
in-and-out with my time to work on this. But let me know
where you think I should start.
Not sure, actually...
From what you said, it seemed that you only get a

Hi Richard,
I''m sure some of you by now have tried the new IE 7 Beta and
noticed that you again have to apply the hacks to disable the
security features to enable DQSD. I know I have asked this
before but are there any plans for a workaround for this that
doesnt require disabling

Hi Shawn,
...see if it works for you...
Works fine for me, however, may I suggest offering an option
that can alternate the functionality of mwd through the localprefs?
Fair enough, I can add that!
XmlHttp is acting up on my machine, so I can't see if it works
properly...
