Here is how to check on the format that your Outlook is using when creating
email and how to change it if you want. I believe it also changes how
incoming messages are displayed, but I can't confirm that.
In outlook go to the File menu by pressing Alt _+ f.
Arrow down to options and press
I just tried moving to the drafts folder, then using Ctrl-y to open the
folder list and return to the inbox - all worked here with Outlook 2016
(Office365, latest version).
Try using ctrl-Shift-I to go straight to the inbox. It should work from
