I deleted all the files and subdirectories from the C:\Windows\Temp folder
and deleted the grid.usr file again. I restarted windows and retried it and
again get runtime error 6.
I tried it with smaller files and it is OK. I tried it with my main file
from 2 year old archive, (after
I deleted all my .usr files to see which .usr files the Print Name
List function uses.
These are: Custlist.usr, Custview.usr, Grid.usr, Legacy5.usr and Legacy7.usr.
Try to delete these files to see if that makes any difference.
You could also backup your user files and delete all te usr files to

With respect, whilst that would work it is not necessarily the best way of
doing it; I would hate to have to do that for 3000 pages = of pedigree web
pages.
There are more efficient ways but until Sarah answers my questions I cannot
advise.

Let me start again please and forgive the step by step explanation.
Click the Search tab at the top of the main (opening) screen then click Find.
You will arrive at the Search Screen with 3 tabs, Search by

That's your problem then. User ID and RIN are two different numbers.
You sound as if you are on the Query by Example tab of the Search.
The RIN is
RIN is different than User ID.
The question is why would you use Search to look for a RIN? All you have to
do is go to the Index View or the Name List and click on the RIN window and
scroll down to the RIN you're looking for.

I actually do something a little differently then using the Alt-dates.
In the Notes section of the Birth field, for example, I put in a
little note in [[privacy]] brackets, so that I will know what all the
variations
