No, you now need to raise the issue with their Nodal or Principal Nodal
officer informing everything including their own bank's customer service's
negative response. Also hint them that if this is not dealt with serious
attention, you wouldn't be having any other option than going to the Banking
Ombudsman established by RBI.

Subject: Re: [AI] KYC for banking facilities for the blind
Hi all,
I have heard from ICICI regarding my request. As expected, they refuse
to help. Should I still continue to persue their complaint redressal
system or directly reach out to RBI in this regard.
Please have a look at the below mail:
---------
Dear Customer,
Greetings from ICICI Bank.
Hope you and your loved ones are healthy and safe.
We sincerely regret for the delay in response and inconvenience caused to
you.
Based on our record your application is not eligible for video KYC.
In case you wish to do video KYC, we suggest cancelling the
application and applying again. You can opt for Video KYC in the new
application.
However, please be informed that the cancellation request will take 7
working days to get processed and the application will be de-linked in
another 7 working days.
Hence you can apply again only post 14 working days. Please revert
back to us with your confirmation and we shall raise a request for
cancellation.
Please be informed that due to RBI guidelines, Physical KYC is
permanently closed. You can only apply through Video KYC if Aadhaar
linked with your mobile number and complete address updated in your
Aadhaar.
Looking forward to more opportunities to be of service to you
Thank you for giving us the opportunity to serve.
Bank Digitally and Stay Safe!
Sincerely,
Manimegalai R

Dear Mr. Bharat,
Please note the date on which you have made a complaint to ICICI bank.
On 30th day of filing complaint with ICICI bank approach RBI Ombudsman
via CMS portal. The link is available on RBI's official website. While
registering the complaint mention that you have approached the bank on
which date; your declaration in this regard may suffice. You may
choose to attach any other document/communication such as mail
regarding schedule of KYC call or application copy. If you don't have
any document you may submit the complaint without any attachment also.
This pressurises the bank to act with urgency.
Regards
Harshit

Hi,
Here is the update on this. My Kyc has now been rescheduled for the
3rd time. On each of these days, let alone the represetative visit, I
haven't even received a phone call from anyone.
I have also written to ICICI on their website for the 1st level
complaint but to no avail as no one got back to me. Considering, ICICI
did not send me a copy of my submission to me despite asking for my
email ID at the time of submitting my request, I don't even have a
proof of my submission.
I called up the Amazon customercare who assured me that they have
raised my concern to the verification department & have lined up my
request at the high priority. In such a scenario I technically have no
proof of having reached out to ICICI to be attached at the time of
complaining to banking ombudsman.
Thank you,
Bharat.

Hi,
Write a complaint to ICICI bank on their website using their online
grievance redressal form. Mention that if they do not comply within
30 days, you will be forced to file a complaint with RBI Ombudsman as
per the provisions of RBI circular on 'Banking services to senior
citizens and the disabled' dated November 9, 2017. They will surely
respond.

Standard Chartered did V KYC for me without drama. With ICICI, it was
originally very difficult, pre-Covid times it was and they originally
refused to process my documents after home KYC. As I kept writing,
and
using up all avenues of protest and complaind, they eventually
processed my application. It was the ICICI Platinum card. On the
basis
of that card, I got the AmazonPay card issued without any issues, and
the onboarding process in that case took just a couple of minutes.

You could certainly schedule for V KYC and it has to be done without
any
issue.
You could also write to Amazon and ICICI bank telling them these
things.
and if you are comfortable for home KYC, ask them why even after
making
it
scheduled is not done so far? Amazon would certainly be of
assistance
here.
I did get this credit card about 2 and half years back without any
problem.
the person came to my residence and everything went smoothly.

Subject: [AI] KYC for banking facilities for the blind
Hi all,
I recently filled up the online application for the Amazon ICICI
credit card & was presented with the video KYC option. Once I opted
for that, the representative refused to conduct my KYC once she
realised me being blind. She instead suggested me to opt for the
home
document collection option.
I have scheduled the home collection thrice but no one has come up
for
it till now.
I would like to know, if the video KYC is not for the blind. & if
yes,
then what are the rules for it.
Thank you,
Bharat.
