Boss, All the regional business offices, Zonal offices, corporate offices of banks in one way or the other have jobs on phone calls most of the time. It is the sighted guys also who have to follow-up with branches, and cross functional offices on various parameter of their business on phone calling only. If you are in any back office, take transfer to any branch of the bank where there is possibility to have more personal tie-up with smaller number of employee. Now a days all the banks are focusing only on digital banking penetration, cross-selling, and up-selling of banks different products and services. As you have a good command on English reading, writing, and speaking skills, you can create a good bonding with high profile customers gradually. You can also develop your expertise on audit function and help your branch to acquire good score in managing risks. If you can contribute in generating revenue for the bank by working in any of the business verticals just as that of the retail or corporate customer facing branches, then there would be job satisfaction. Simultaneously your interest in content writing can be enhanced further slowly and steadily to search for new opportunities outside bank. An just as some one on the list suggested, you can also try to join the social media department of your bank where you can write user manuals, or record a video on how to use, and avail banks different products and services. When I' had joint the bank, I was not given a system, and no sitting arrangement was made for me. I use to sit in the storage room after the banking hours. During the public hours, I use to stand beside the security guard personnel, and gradually started canvasing business on mutual fund investments. I would also help customers on the digital application front, and I did this for two long years. Now I am a Scale 3 officer, and have achieved this position in just 6 years after joining the bank. Keep hope in yourself, and have patience, everything would get all right.
