Yesterday, a division bench of justices Inndira Banerjee and MM Sundresh was hearing a petition filed by NPRD.
When justice Banerjee said, "Initially there would be a training for all the officers, and secondly, posts are transferable so, it will be very difficult for the physically disabled persons to manage". To which justice MM Sundresh said, "Frustration will kick in if you are only giving them a particular post all the time". Drawing from his personal experience, he narrated an incident wherein a disabled lady judicial officer was quite unhappy as she was given the same post all the time.
