Hello All,

Do not use their banking services, but if required please use the template
below to help escalate the matter to the right channels:

Subject: Urgent Escalation: Severe Accessibility Failure for Blind Users in PNB
ONE App / Request for Immediate Fix

Dear Punjab National Bank Customer Care Team,

I am writing to formally escalate a critical accessibility barrier in the
latest update of the PNB ONE mobile application that has completely locked out
blind and visually impaired customers from conducting monetary transactions.

Following a recent app update, the T-PIN entry screen was modified to include a
dynamic secure keyboard where the numbers are randomized. While randomization
for security is understood, the fundamental issue is that these keys are not
being read out or recognized by screen readers like TalkBack. As a result,
blind users are entirely unable to enter their T-PIN or access basic banking
services independently.

This severe design flaw violates digital inclusion standards and cuts off
visually impaired customers from managing their finances, forcing an
unnecessary dependency on others.

I strongly urge Punjab National Bank to address and resolve this accessibility
defect with the highest priority. If this is not resolved swiftly, this matter
will be escalated formally to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Ombudsman and
relevant disability rights forums to ensure digital banking compliance for all
citizens.

Please treat this as an urgent complaint and provide a definite timeline for
restoring full accessibility to the PNB ONE application.

application on Android

write a strong EMail to the [email protected] <mailto:[email protected]> and
raise your concern strongly. I also request other customers of PNB to write
them. also take this matter with RBI. Blind employees of PNB are struggling for
accessibility in PNB one. Hope that customer complaint will resolve the issue.

Hello listers

I have been using the Punjab National Bank PNB1 mobile application for long.
After a recent update, I have noticed that the field to enter the T-PIN has
become inaccessible.

What the bank has done is to add a dynamic keyboard where the numbers are not
listed in the usual order. The listing is not the problem, but the numbers are
not getting read out, which means that TalkBack users are unable to use the app
anymore for making monetary transactions.

Anyone else have faced this issue? Is there any workaround?
