Mike Arch, Ya good point, also wear a helmet. I don't drive, rather I bike and take public transit. We're planning on getting a sailboat, which is statistically one of the safest means of transportation.
Also I agree with living a long time, for the AGI development, certainly, I think as things progress they are just going to get more interesting. Matt, please, you're just totting the slogan, it seems like you haven't actually done any research on GMO's. GMO's and Monsanto terminator seed lock-in's are one of the biggest driving forces of suicide amongst farmers in third world countries. They make big claims about yields, but in reality, the yield is usually only a small percentage, while also being much more expensive than traditional methods, and destroying the land (with associated chemicals) making it infertile and inhospitable to life. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1082559/The-GM-genocide-Thousands-Indian-farmers-committing-suicide-using-genetically-modified-crops.html Other than that, some GMO's like corn produce pesticide in every cell, so they are practically poison factories, raccoons die after eating half a cob, yet this corn is then fed to farm animals and humans. The line they tote is that the GMO pesticides come out of the body, but studies show that they actually only accumulate. Also GMO's promote monocropping, which destroying ecological diversity. UN studies have shown that permaculture forest gardening style polycultures are what can feed the third-world much better than gmo-agri-business, however it's not as profitable, so not much goes into it. http://www.alternet.org/story/150158/groundbreaking_new_un_report_on_how_to_feed_the_world%27s_hungry%3A_ditch_corporate-controlled_agriculture ------------------------------------------- AGI Archives: https://www.listbox.com/member/archive/303/=now RSS Feed: https://www.listbox.com/member/archive/rss/303/21088071-f452e424 Modify Your Subscription: https://www.listbox.com/member/?member_id=21088071&id_secret=21088071-58d57657 Powered by Listbox: http://www.listbox.com
