I suggest you do some creative thinking for the first time – not re-reading old texts. If you wanna read, re-read Deutsch.... basically AGI “needs to be nothing like a conventional program”.
Deutsch - in The Beginning of Infinity - was pretty dopey on that topic. He says things like: "universal computers cannot really be universal unless there are people present to provide energy and maintenance – indefinitely." (p. 146). Humans being computationally universal doesn't make them top of the heap. -- __________ |im |yler http://timtyler.org/ [email protected] Remove lock to reply. ------------------------------------------- AGI Archives: https://www.listbox.com/member/archive/303/=now RSS Feed: https://www.listbox.com/member/archive/rss/303/21088071-f452e424 Modify Your Subscription: https://www.listbox.com/member/?member_id=21088071&id_secret=21088071-58d57657 Powered by Listbox: http://www.listbox.com
