Alternative C: You have a) a limited imagination and b) an appalling
ignorance/.blindness to the history of both science and technology. Truly, you
have no practical realisation that the paradigm is continually being first
shifted and then shattered.
The statement I made is in fact a pretty standard trope – the only difference
is that I am really putting it into action. It is a standard observation in
many psychological tests that scientists are analytical and do not look at the
big picture. Scientists are trained in every way to take things to pieces.
Artists on the other hand look at things from the outside and in context – they
depict and paint the world in terms of scenes – of whole bodies-in-context,
whereas scientists and technologists look at, and produce,
bodies-in-pieces/anatomies of the world.
What I am about, and what AGI is about, is uniting the scientific and artistic
view of the world, and their v. two different cultures of intelligence and
productive activity – and in this case, bringing the how-does-it-work and
what-does-it-do frames-of-vision together. You’re stuck in an increasingly
out-of-date paradigm.

You guys and the whole of science in fact are basically mechanics – you think
about how the machine/car works – you don’t look at the big picture of what
it’s supposed to do and how and where you can drive the car. You take all that
for granted – when, for AGI, that’s the starting-point.
Alternative A: the whole of science is idiotic and on the wrong track
Alternative B: some guy on the Internet doesn't know what he's talking about
;-p
