p.s.: Competition is not evolutionary. Competition plays a role when there is scarcity. There has not been much scarcity for the past 6000 years and we keep competing because of de-evolutionary reasons (ego && random belief systems).

Wasting the time and brainpower and mental sanity of 3 billion people in #bullshitjobs is not evolutionary and also not putting ideas through any test. It's just the natural consequence of a system which can not acknowledge abundance and which needs to "grow" infinitely at the expense of every living thing and the biosphere itself.

Also I don't know how you can be talking about a "successful process"? When I look at society I see a big question mark and an organism that is about to kill itself because of pointless competition induced by our monetary system ...

Curious, does this mean that you do not believe in evolution? (that's okay, I don't.)

Most on this list do believe in evolution and uphold the evolutionary principles as if they were the golden rule to existence.

Anyway, it seems that pressure to "invent" is key to diversity and survival of the fittest. Wouldn't that make this economic process natural and desirable? ( to an evolutionist)

Through all the pressures of putting thousands of ideas through the "test" one would expect the best ideas to survive and thrive. Isn't that's the theory? Why would you argue with such a successful process?

relates to AGI in that it will be tempting to think the "super intellect" will bring an end to all this needless pressure - use it's intellect to straighten out what is so crooked. *AGI* | Archives <https://www.listbox.com/member/archive/303/=now> <https://www.listbox.com/member/archive/rss/303/23508161-fa52c03c> | Modify <https://www.listbox.com/member/?&;> Your Subscription [Powered by Listbox] <http://www.listbox.com>
