Most on this list do believe in evolution and uphold the evolutionary
principles as if they were the golden rule to existence.
Anyway, it seems that pressure to "invent" is key to diversity and
survival of the fittest. Wouldn't that make this economic process
natural and desirable? ( to an evolutionist)
Through all the pressures of putting thousands of ideas through the
"test" one would expect the best ideas to survive and thrive. Isn't
that's the theory? Why would you argue with such a successful process?

relates to AGI in that it will be tempting to think the "super
intellect" will bring an end to all this needless pressure - use it's
intellect to straighten out what is so crooked.
