I personally think how well a games' brief description reads has a lot to do with how likely an install is when someone finds your app. More than just correcting gramatical and proof reading (which your description does need a little bit of with what I'm seeing in the English language), the text should provide somewhat of a wow/intrigue factor along with a brief description of gameplay (i.e., for flurry craft is it controlled with virtual dpad- point-n-click.. accelerometer drag-n-drop elementm etc..?. I know there are a lot of marketing people that write descriptions, though I have no idea how to find them or what rates are. On a tight budget, a good idea could be to check with local colleges and find a marketing or english major to write one. Even so, I'd say it's debatable how much this would help... and getting a good one could be hit or miss. Other Ideas: try to contact some of the more popular gaming sites where users browse games to publicize your app there through their review (risky if you get a bad review though) or listing. Some options: -jayisgames.com (a casual gaming site. they have a weekly mobile monday feature, that alternates on whim between iphone and android games- you can submit for that for free, and maybe it shows up featured. I know they also have paid slots, but have never asked about them). -Androidpolice.net- They have a biweekly "best new apps" feature and do game features and reviews. When I was looking, it seemed like many of their "new" apps were old ones with recent major updates. Gizmodo and lifehacker.com they do occasional app/game features, I'm sure for a price- but they have boatloads of readers There are others You can also self submit- *Put a post in games and apps category of andriod development of xda: http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=530. Not a bad idea to ask for feedback there also, as there are generally a lot of enthusiasts with good insight (and some not so much). You can also get placed on their front page "portal" ezine with some luck, which is on the root domain. Don't know how many people actually read that portal though. ~xda ONLY allows free apps to be posted. (ad supported is fine) *Two relevant categories in reddit.com: reddit.com/r/android and reddit.com/r/androidapps - There's lots of other forums out there you can share on. It's a lot of work, and doesn't exactly provide instant results, but is one of the best options (imo) to build a potentially interested user base and maybe improvng market visibility through their positive reviews. Looking at the few spikes you've had, you may have already done some of that. > > Well the "just in" is gone, now I have to push my games in some other way, > but to plan a good promotion plan I should know what are my goals: so, how > many copies of a free game should to get a good position on the other > listings and get noticed by the masses?
