In the trunk menu, try specifying the zap group as ZAP/G0 instead of ZAP/g0. The capital should use a descending trunk selection order. That will confirm your observation that the problem is the second channel to be selected, not the physical 'channel 2'. BTW, I'm also pretty puzzled. When you watch the call go through from the CLI, and it's dialing the number, does it show the 8 in front of the number? Are you using 9 to access any other trunk group on your asterisk box? IE What would happen if I were to dial 9-416-555-1212 on one of your phones?
