This was very explanatory to me, and after this we agree:

1. Until SPFID output they ARE the same (in Bit).
2. Differences are likely caused by drift.
3. In 'normal life' playback you could not lock the clocks (one was in
the RECORDING AD converter of the CD)but only assume  44.100 Hz is the
'correct' frequency and try to be as close as you can.

Unless you could not eliminate the drift, you will always have
differences, but maybe you could make them better (read having minor
effect on the SQ you perceive).
