At best on weeknights I get 2 hours between the time my 1 year old goes to bed and the time I have to go to bed for work the next day. I rarely have time on weekends but every now and again I get a few uninterrupted hours. I wish I found this stuff in my single days when my copious free time was spent on video games, drinking, and sleeping til 1PM.
The trick is to hammer down my demos and posting to a science so there's no wasted time. I have away3d and away3dlite templates built in Flex 3, Flash Builder 4, and FlashDevelop. Each also has an actionscript only and MXML template. It goes like this: - copy template for a new project - code core functionality of the demo, in this most recent case, just get shadows working - add necessary interactiivty, sometimes mouse, sometimes MXML - add minimum amount of text on screen for instructions - take a screenshot - Roll the demo using Flex/Flash Builder's "export release" functionality (includes "view source") - upload and blog (and as Fabrice pointed out, sometimes the actual wording in the post is hasty ;) ) On Jul 21, 2:23 pm, Michael Iv <[email protected]> wrote: > Yeah, blogging is very time consuming ....
