The Hebrew Word ברך BEREK, 'knee', is of the root BRK, which is a
variant of the root פרך PRK, of which we have PEREK, 'wreckage',
and פרוכת PAROKET, 'curtain'.
It is also a variant of:
*BOREG, 'screw'.
BARAX ברח 'detach, run away'.
BARAK ברק 'rend'
PARAQ פרק 'take apart'
Thus, ברך BEREK, 'knee', is where the leg "breaks" and folds.
To bless is to pour out, to lavish, to profuse.

also I have read that the noun 'Knee' gave rise to the verbal idea?
