I don't want to suggest that jconsole is only suitable for embedded
systems, & I have changed that language.
But I do feel strongly that we should point new users towards Qt IDE.
That system has so much more support for tutorials, training, debugging,
and script development that I can't imagine that a user new to J
wouldn't want to start with it.
I am trying to have this page tell everyone how to install J as they
wish, but steer the novice towards JQt + all the addons.

I have tried to respond to the suggestions given here by adding text
explaining things and adding a section focused on new users. There are
errors and omissions that need to be fixed by someone who knows the answers:
1. Android is not listed under the supported platforms
2. There is a note in the installation page saying that jconsole is
renamed to ijconsole; this conflicts with the info under 'What Is
Installed' and later references to jconsole.
3. Someone who knows how to install on:
Mac
Linux
Android
Raspberry Pi
needs to go into the 'If You Are New to J' section and list the steps for
those platforms. There is a lot of information under 'OS-specific
Information' but you'd have to be a geek to make sense of it. We need some
simple instructions for ordinary users, especially Mac users.
