I agree about Henry's clarity and like his explanations of the steps that are needed.
Nevertheless, the base system and the IDE are distinct things, and IMHO trying to shove everything on a single page is confusing and makes things harder. Our primary user base are software developers, and this group should have no difficulty understanding the concept of a base system plus addons. This is how almost all software gets distributed nowadays. The schoolchildren and other novices are a different matter. For them, a quick start page with no options would seem to be best. One such page for a full install should suffice. Minimal installs are primarily intended for developers distributing applications, so would not apply to this group.
