I got one shipped to my door in the right color for $125. Some minor
scratches, but I was able to rub them out.

In case you don't know the "i" and "is" fenders are different (I think).

Hello group,

This past Saturday my wife backed into my E36 with our minivan. It wasn't
directly behind her, so she got the driver's side fender. It's not really
too bad and doesn't affect anything functionally, but if someone happens to
have a black one available I'd be interested in buying it. I'm going to try
to see how well it pops out, but with that body line there I don't think I'm
going to have much success.

Thanks,

Chris B.

Well, Barry. Had you told me this last week I would have thrown my radiator in the
trunk on my drive up to Monterey last weekend. If you want it, still in the box, brand
new, E36 radiator at cost. Otherwise, it will sit on it's shrine in the garage for me
to worship everyday. I love how clean it is. Oh well.

Yelp: broken radiator inlet: E36:

So that's what happens? I see all these posting about broken
plastic housings on E36 radiators, but only on race cars and in severe
climates. Well maybe in some temperate zones too?
Would someone please send me the list that was posted recently on
sources for reasonably priced radiators for E36 //M3 or another vendor
for prefereably all metal housing radiators? Ideally a store in
California, SF Bay area is best.
Or to ask and maybe the wish will be answered, anyone in the Bay
Area have an E36 radiator I could buy or borrow cheap for the few days
it will take for a new one to arrive?
Thanks in advance,
Barry

What Anti Freeze Brands to use?:

Now that I've got a good radiator in the car, what brands of anti freeze
are best to fill it with? I recall a recent posting but the archives
search on "coolant" and "anti freeze" isn't finding it.
Yes, I picked up a bottle of Water Wetter too.
Checking back, I find that its been two years sine I last flushed the
coolant, so by busting his old radiator, 'Jack had his way of telling me
he wanted new anti-freeze anyway.

I think the newly available at the local auto parts store Mercedes/Chrysler
G05 antifreeze is the best easily available stuff. Second to that is
DexCool but don't mix it with others and don't use it in an old type iron
engine/brass radiator system. These are good because the pH is low which is
good to the plastic parts in the radiator.

M3's only take the Bilstein Sports because they are much lower than regular
E36. No such thing as HD for the M3 model.

Unfortunately, Thunderbird has an issue handling large quantities of email.

I have about 1.6 gig of email files and Thunderbird just cannot handle
pulling them over from Outlook.

Another more minor annoyance I noticed when installing it is that it will
only import from the local drive, which meant I had to install Outlook and
import all my archives onto a new machine that I'd hoped to keep Outlook
free...

As it turns out, I'm still stuck with Outlook, but looking for a better
business oriented program.

Brett,
Nice little glitch you've found. A workaround can be to export
from Outlook into a text file (such as a csv file). Then import that
file into Thunderbird by selecting Tools>Import>[Address Books] or
[Mail]>Text File. That opens a Select File window opens that can select
from any drive letter on your system or network.

I did some research before buying mine, the choices then were Goodridge
and Fischer.

I ended up buying the Fischer ones from The Ultimate Garage, they
appear to be of great quality. Fit for my M3/4 is perfect. Have been
in the car for about 12K miles and a year. No problems.

I use ATE Super Blue or Typ 200 on both cars. My track/auto-x car gets
a flush before every track event. Our street car about once a year.
Don't know if I'm overdoing it but is cheap insurance.

Anyone good with Access? Need to make a modification to the KMS shopping
cart which reports to an Access DB. I'm lost, it's not built by BMW....

Will pay for good, trustworthy, help. Should take a competent user about 30
minutes to fix.

Thanks

That's a first... a BMW tech telling a computer person how long their
job should take.

I'd say that billable programming time depends on whether it's a
warranty job or customer-pay.

Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

Tonight my 525i touring started running like poop. Rough idle, stalling,
hesitation. It feels just like a vacuum leak, but I can find it. If I
remove the oil filler cap it makes almost no difference in the idle. If I
cover the filler hole with my hand there is almost no suction. Same thing
with the dipstick.

The boot between the AFM and throttle body is in good shape and tight. All
the hoses I can find from the top of the engine seem OK.

This weekend I replaced struts/shocks, upper control arms, and sway bar
links - as far as areas of the car where I might have knocked something
loose.

The interior from the front seats to the back is still in a heap if there is
something back there I could have messed up.

HELP! If I can't find it quick the car goes to the Mechanic tomorrow. I
used up my allotment of car time on the suspension.

Maybe it isn't a vacuum leak - oh yeah - 5-stomp report says 1444 - no
fault.
